About The Book
Grandfather’S Death
Those green grasshopper days had long gone by
When leaves were naught but crunchy piles of delight.
And wavy seas of the yellow sun were the sky
while dancing moonlit window panes were night.
Then he could never know that through the years
the sun would boil away and skies would freeze.
That grasshoppers must face those deathly fears
that come when soft snow covers up the leaves.
His body lies in peace. Calm, motionless.
His still-white lips reveal a pleasant smile,
for he must wait no more for future rest.
We are lucky, she and I, we will never be apart.
